Stanley P. Janek


  Stanley P. Janek, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011 in Murrells Inlet, SC.
  He was born in Irvington, NJ on June 29, 1920. A WWII vet, Stan served as a B-26 pilot with the 9th Air Force.
  After the war he returned to New Jersey and had two children, Bruce and Linda. In 1962 he moved his family from Irvington, NJ to Union.  After finishing his education at Rutgers University, he enjoyed a lengthy career with the Howard Savings Bank, retiring in 1985 as a Vice President. 
  Stan was active in numerous service organizations as well as serving as a Lector for Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Union for over 25 years. Stan and Dolores moved to Murrells Inlet, SC in 2010.
  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dolores, of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, Bruce and his wife Joan of Midlothian, VA; daughter Linda and her husband Rich Brodie of Murrells Inlet, SC, his brother John Stworzyjanek of Murrells Inlet and sister Irene Makow of Marietta, GA.  Additionally, he is survived by his 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
