Word Association Publishers has recently published Craig's seventh book. However this isn't another books poems like his past endeavors. This is a semi-autobiography about his life. Since Craig has been known to some people by the nick name "Trouble" he decided he address being called that and how it has affected his life.
Trouble? is a coming-of-age memoir about a young man who rises up from the mean streets of the city to earn a college degree and become a Systems Analyst in a Fortune 500 company. Garner, who has written and published seven other books, wrote Trouble? to tell of his journey from landing a coveted position with AT&T and losing it after nearly twenty-five years, due to downsizing. But the story doesn’t end there because, Garner believes that obstacles are sometimes put in your path to create opportunities. For him, those opportunities took the form of more education, starting a new business, entering politics, and writing and publishing books.
Trouble? is a real-life, modern story that takes readers from working-class struggles and inner city violence all the way to corporate success and back again when the economy falters. But Garner’s book is not one of failure but of inspiration, resilience, and pursuing the American dream.
