on Nov. 4th and 5th as part of the Authors Alley Exhibit. NJEA allows
authors to purchase a table for a nominal fee and set up at the convention
with their book(s). The location was ailse 2600 which was right next to
the vendors that were selling their wares. We were located right next to
James and Mary Mack who were selling their self help book to get into
college.
A lot of folks came through but few were buying anything. Most of the convention
attendees just want to get free stuff. I had four of my books out on the table
which are "A Poetic Twist of Fate", A Poetic Twist of Faith, A Poetic Purpose
to My Life, and last but not least "In My Lifetime". A number of Veleria's friends
stopped buy and bought books which really got things going. We ended up doing
very well since we sold over twenty books which was much more than anyone else
was doing. Veleria exercised her chance to go to the Mall are in AC and visited
numerous other booths. She also went to an invited luncheon with one of her friends.
We did have a little time to check out the Casino in our hotel. To our surprise they
were almost empty.
It was a wonderful experience and a chance to get away for a short while. Hopefully
we will do it again next year but who knows if we'll even want to do it.
