Craig & Veleria honored by IDCC for service

On October 1st, the Irvington Democratic County Committee honored some of their long standing district leaders who have served on the committee for more than ten years.  Craig and & Veleria Garner were two of the honorees since they have been elected District Leaders for over 17 years.  They started out off the line in West 5 and now are serving as District Leaders of West 1.  They along with Anna B. Scott, John Sowell, and Norma Carty were recognized from the West Ward of the township. The event was held at the Galloping Hill Inn in Union, NJ.  The "brunch" featured a buffet, music by the reknown "Qua" of 98.7 KISS radio.  The guest speaker was Chris Durkin, Essex County Clerk.  All of the honorees received a certificate signed by D. Bilal Beasley, Chairman of the IDCC and the Chairman of the Essex County Committee. The event was very successful and everyone had a wonderful time.
