About Us

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is responsible for developing and implementing programs that enhance social life in Irvington.

The department sponsors concerts, festivals, holiday tributes and other celebratory events. Numerous recreational, athletic and educational enhancement programs for children are offered, including:
• Cheerleading
• Basketball
• Karate
• Arts and Crafts
• Homework assistance




Among the activities available for adults are:
• Aerobics
• Karate
• Basketball


The department also runs the Senior Citizens' Community Center.
